ADMISSIONS OVERVIEW

St. Timothy’s operates primarily as a senior college. Thus Bachelor’s Level degree is generally required to apply. But in most cases, the Admissions Committee will carefully evaluate all college level work and even life experience and professional training and can often award sufficient credit to begin the BDiv or MDiv program.

STTCS has an “Open Enrollment” policy. Prospective students may thus apply anytime, and upon acceptance, will be matriculated and eligible to register for courses in the next term or may start their classes asynchronously. Generally, students may also take the first few courses without matriculation – in order to test drive our program.

Transfer of Credit

Transfer credit may be given for courses from other recognized institutions with demonstrated quality, comparability, appropriateness, and applicability to those of STTCS regardless of accreditation. Courses with grades below C (or a grade-point below 2.0 on 4.0 scale) are not transferable.

English Proficiency Requirement

Applicants from outside the United States or non-English speaking countries may be required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) as administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). A score of 550 on the paper-based exam, 213 on the computer-based exam, or 80 on the Internet-based exam is required.
